Chengdu, September 27, 2025 — The three-day 2025 China (Chengdu-Chongqing) Military Intelligent Technology and Equipment Expo concluded successfully at the Chengdu Airport International Conference Center. As the most influential military industry event in western China, this expo attracted over 200 leading enterprises in the industry to participate, and tens of thousands of professional representatives from the military commission, major theater commands, and military industry groups gathered at the venue. Beijing AVIC Hangte Lubrication Technology Co., Ltd. made a grand appearance with its star product, No. 2 Protective Oil, and a full range of special lubrication solutions, becoming a highlight of the expo with its technological strength in the field of military-civilian integration.
At the expo site, the booth of AVIC Hangte was always crowded with visitors. Professional audiences conducted intensive consultations around the core exhibit, No. 2 Protective Oil. As a major type of military protective oil in China, this product has become one of the most widely used protective oils in the military since it passed the technical appraisal of the General Staff Department in 1996. According to the on-site technical director, this protective oil, formulated with refined mineral base oil and a variety of functional additives, can form a dense protective film through physical and chemical adsorption, effectively blocking corrosive media such as water films and the atmosphere. Its wide temperature range adaptability from -50℃ to 60℃ can meet the needs of complex geographical environments in western China, and it performs outstandingly in scenarios such as daily protection of weapons and equipment and rust prevention in mechanical processing.
In addition to the star product, AVIC Hangte also displayed a series of products such as special hydraulic oil and military coolant, covering application scenarios in multiple fields including aerospace, shipping, and railways. A representative from the equipment support department of a theater command said after on-site trial: "This type of lubricating product with both rust resistance and stability is of practical value for improving equipment maintenance efficiency and extending service life." During the expo, the company reached preliminary cooperation intentions with 5 military units and local equipment manufacturers.
As a lubrication technology enterprise focusing on military-civilian integration, AVIC Hangte has a clear and solid development history. Founded in 2015, the company has taken "localization of equipment protection" as its core goal since its establishment. In the first year after its founding, it established a professional R&D team, focusing on military lubrication technology research. In the second year after its establishment (2016), it successfully broke through the technical problems of base oil refining, laying a solid foundation for subsequent product R&D. In 2018, the company's first independently developed special hydraulic oil passed military certification and officially entered the military supporting system, breaking the monopoly of some foreign products. In 2020, with the expansion of market demand, the company established a modern production base in Hebei, realizing large-scale production of core products with an annual output exceeding 5,000 tons, effectively ensuring the oil supply for key military and civilian projects. In 2022, to further expand its service scope, the company set up an office in Xi'an, initially completing the layout of the western market and laying the groundwork for subsequent in-depth development in the Chengdu-Chongqing region.
This participation in the expo is an important measure for AVIC Hangte to deeply engage in the western aviation industry cluster. As Chengdu has become one of the core bases for domestic aviation equipment manufacturing, the local demand for high-quality lubricating products has been continuously rising. According to industry reports, the market share of aviation lubricating oil in the Chengdu-Chongqing twin-city economic circle is expected to exceed 18% in 2025, and the construction of regional supporting bases is advancing at an accelerated pace. The general manager of AVIC Hangte pointed out in an interview: "The company has set up an office in Xi'an. Taking this opportunity of the Chengdu Military Expo, we will further get closer to the western market and provide more timely technical support for the regional protection of equipment such as the J-20 and Y-20."
After ten years of development, AVIC Hangte's products have passed a number of military certifications and served many scientific research institutes and equipment manufacturing enterprises. The technical white paper released during the expo shows that the company will further increase R&D investment in cutting-edge technologies such as nano anti-wear agents and wide-temperature-range synthetic base oils, in response to the requirement of "independent guarantee of key materials" in the "Major Project of Aero-Engines and Gas Turbines".
This Chengdu-Chongqing Military Expo was hosted by the Chinese Association of Command and Control, focusing on military intelligent technology innovation and achievement transformation. The exhibits covered multiple fields including unmanned systems, emergency rescue, and equipment support. The appearance of AVIC Hangte not only demonstrated the breakthroughs of private technology enterprises in the military supporting field but also highlighted the fundamental supporting role of lubrication technology in the modernization of equipment. A relevant person in charge of the Chinese Association of Command and Control said: "Special lubricating oil is an 'invisible barrier' for equipment reliability. We look forward to more enterprises like AVIC Hangte promoting the improvement of national defense support capabilities through technological innovation."
At the conclusion of the expo, AVIC Hangte announced that it would participate in the 2025 Chengdu Aerospace Exhibition to continuously deepen technical exchanges in the field of aviation lubrication. In the future, the company plans to lay out a lubrication technology service center in western China, providing customized solutions for military enterprises and civilian equipment manufacturers in the region, and helping to build an independent and controllable equipment protection industry chain.
